About American Eagle Coins
The American Gold Eagle coin is a popular gold bullion coin released annually by the United States Mint. The coin was first introduced in 1986, as part of the Gold Bullion Coin Act of 1985, which was signed into law by President Ronald Reagan. The act was passed in response to the growing demand for gold coins among investors, and it authorized the minting of a new gold coin that would be legal tender in the United States.
The American Gold Eagle is a beautiful coin that received a new design in 2021. The design of the coin seldom changes, with most new years only differing based on the year engraving.
Despite containing less gold content than most investment-grade gold bullion at 91.67%, the Eagle is considered one of the safest investments on the market.
