After collecting coins of all types for over 50 years it was time to divest. I had the opportunity to work with Tony at American Rare Coin on two separate appointments to get through all the coins.
Tony is most knowledgeable across many fronts including all type coins as well as the Indians, Lincolns, Liberty Nickels, Mercury Dimes and the older silver coins.
Each session with Tony lasted nearly three hours and he never rushed and explained everything to me. For an experienced collector I found that most satisfying.
So, if you are looking to sell a few coins or many, don’t hesitate to call this firm. They really do care about you and your holdings.
My husband and I had a fairly valuable coin collection that I had inherited from my grandfather. After doing research and talking to people in the field, we ended up selling the coins through American Rare Coin & Collectibles in Bloomington. We were very satisfied with the service they provided and felt they were honest and trustworthy.
The experience at American Rare Coin was positive from start to finish. Rick was professional and experienced. He made his way through a large collection of assorted coins in a very efficient manner and was detail oriented in documentation. Best of all, he was a great storyteller and it made the process of sorting through an inherited collection of coins more meaningful. In the midst of the sorting, an unusual coin was found (always a bonus), and the valuation was made on the spot. We would highly recommend American Rare Coin. Thanks for providing excellent service.
My experience with American Coin was outstanding. I was having several different sets of coins of my father’s that had been given to me. Their website was very valuable in determining if there was any numismatic value, and unfortunately there wasn’t much beyond the silver value. Mark walked through the process showing me every step. Too bad, I don’t have any more coins.
